The coolest news to creep its way into my online realm today was the announcement by Scream Factory that they will be releasing a CARRIE 40th anniversary collector’s edition Blu-ray. It will arrive early October, and as you can imagine it comes with a TON of extras and special features that will keep you indoors and glued to the screen for hours.
Scream Factory always commission incredible new artwork for their products, and they continually prove that illustrations over photoshop will ALWAYS result in a sleeve that looks beautiful and enhances the excitement of making that purchase.
Carrie is no different.
The first cover is a haunting piece by Nat Marsh, that features Carrie calmly walking away from the prom night inferno as flames and smoke stretch into the illuminated night sky. I adore this style, and the whole thing is a powerful little masterpiece.
The second cover is limited to 2000, and features artwork by the brilliant Joel Robinson. Everything he creates is colorful, vibrant and impossible not to love. Just look at it! You can almost feel the heat coming off those flames!
