UPDATE — A video that takes a much closer look at “Mob of the Dead” was released on Xbox Live, but not officially online yet. A few fans recorded it and put it up on YouTube, naturally. Have a look:

Very exciting news, we’re getting another zombies map in the form of a mashup of cult actors, this time around we’re going to be able to play as:

• Ray Liotta
• Chazz Palminteri
• Joe Pantoliano
• Michael Madsen

The Map: A zombified version of Alcatraz.

I’ll post the dedicated Mob of the Dead trailer when it’s released as there will without a doubt be one.

PS: The multiplayer map “Studio” also looks pretty cool, as a the back-lot of a movie studio (think Universal Studios), which has some pretty cool looking horror and sci-fi sets to play among.
