Submit Your Dead Pet to the Digital Pet Sematary

Pet Sematary

I previously shared the story of the death of my own dog, Buck. I’ve never felt a greater pain before it or since. There’s such an incredible bond between humans and non-human animals, that seems to transcend the closeness that even two humans can achieve together (at least for me). It’s a powerful bond that has been captured probably no better than by writer Stephen King through many of his works.

I wanted to create a special memorial here, a digital pet graveyard in the form of a photo gallery. I’ll maintain this memorial until I, myself, die. So, there’s no deadline to submit your pet(s) or anything like that. All are welcome to submit photos of their animal family here anytime, regardless of species, and I’ll add them.

Just don’t ask me to bury them beyond in the sacred and forbidden source code. ;)

UPDATE โ€” There’s now a dedicated website at petsematary.org.
