Today I’m taking a look at an incredible piece of kirigami art created by Marc Hagan-Guirey aka Paper Dandy.
Marc can take a single sheet of paper and with the help of a very sharp scalpel he builds amazingly detailed sculptures. No glue or tape, just very delicate cutting and folding. His biggest project was a series of locations and buildings from classic horror movies, which he called ‘Horrorgami’ …
When finished, the pieces are placed inside perspex light boxes to complete the magical effect. Featured here is the magnificent miniature Overlook Hotel from The Shining, complete with a tiny Jack Torrance limping through the snow carrying his trusty axe. Love it!
