TV Shows to Binge-Watch on Halloween (sponsored)

Pumpkin Light Dark

Halloween nights have always been something I look forward to every single year. As someone who loves all things spooky, of course, I’ve also always been into Halloween TV shows. I mean, I don’t even wait for October most of the time. I just binge-watch one of my favorite spooky shows in the middle of summer if I feel like it. But I won’t lie, there’s really something special about watching them in October when everything’s a little darker because Halloween is just around the corner.

That said, I’ve got a lot of binge-worthy Halloween TV shows up my sleeve that I wanted to share. Most of these shows are available on most streaming services like Netflix and Disney+.

What We Do in the Shadows

6 Seasons | 40 Episodes

What We Do in the Shadows is honestly one of the funniest “spooky”, if you can really call it that, shows out there. It’s about vampires, but instead of being all dark and brooding, they’re just…a hot mess. They live together in Staten Island and try to figure out human life, but they’re terrible at it, which makes everything ten times funnier. It’s not the heavy kind of TV series that would leave you scared every night, so you’ll likely binge it without even noticing.

Wednesday

2 Seasons | 12 Episodes (ongoing)

It’s your girl, Wednesday, and she’s just as deadpan and iconic as you’d expect. Jenna Ortega just owns the role, like, it feels like it was written for her. Wednesday is now attending Nevermore Academy where she has to deal with mysteries, monsters, and the worst of all, her classmates. Season 2 is just starting, so make sure you keep up if you haven’t watched the first season. Line this up for your next TV streaming session!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

4 Seasons | 36 Episodes

So, Sabrina’s back, but this isn’t the cheerful, talking-cat version we grew up with. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is darker, creepier, and honestly way cooler. It’s all witches, spells, and some seriously weird stuff going on in the background. Still, it has that fun teen drama vibe that makes it easy to binge. It’s kinda like mixing high school problems with actual hell problems.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

7 Seasons | 144 Episodes

I mean, I can’t miss Buffy when we’re talking about Halloween shows. That’s just a disgrace. This show is basically the blueprint for all the supernatural teen dramas that came after it. You’ve got Buffy, a high school girl who’s juggling homework, friends, and, you know… slaying vampires, demons, and every other creature that crawls out of the dark. I recently binged this, and since it has a lot of episodes, it kind of reminded me of the shows I used to watch on DISH TV deals.

Over the Garden Wall

1 Season | 10 Episodes

Now here’s a short but sweet Halloween gem. It’s only ten episodes, so you can actually finish it in one sitting, but wow. That’s all I have to say. It’s about two brothers who get lost in a strange forest, and the story feels spooky, magical, and even a little sad at times. I watched this series two times already, and I’d watch it again in a heartbeat.

The Bottom Line

There are a lot of Halloween-themed TV shows out there, but only a few really met the vibe I want during the season. I swear by these TV series, so if you’re looking for the next TV series to watch, just pick one of the titles here, and you’ll be good to go. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Happy watching and Happy Halloween!
