    Who played Freddy Krueger from the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” series better, Robert Englund (original) or Jackie Earle Haley (re-make)? My personal favorite is Robert Englund from the original is because I thought that he delivered his lines very good and it just seems to me that he IS/WAS Freddy Krueger. What are your thoughts?

    Robert Englund hands-down, but to be fair, this is a lot like the Nicholson vs Ledger Joker debate, it isn’t really relevant because they’re playing completely different versions of the characters in a different story/universe.

    Although, I thought the Nightmare remake fell flat on its face, that wasn’t due to Jackie Earle Haley’s performance which I thought was just fine.

    Robert Englund. The dark side of Freddy is that he was possibly into kids, and not too much in a good way. Robert’s jokes hinted that a lot and his humor and performance was really, really dark.
