Episode 2 complete and definite spoilers ahead in the images below. This one’s going to be short and sweet, but I can certainly say that I enjoyed this episode, with more blood, puzzles, and occultism. Things are ramping up with the ending of this episode and perhaps the game overall is revealing itself to have something of a Shutter Island feel to it.
I’m not sure if this was the intention of the creators, but I’m actually getting quite geeky about a lot of the art and the old texts in this game. I also am somewhat fascinated by the idea of tracking down high-res scans of famous paintings, and this article covers a lot of the great sources for beauties like this image that you’ve no doubt seen as it’s been used many, many times in film, TV, and video games (including The Council — see snaps below) in different variations:
Onward to episode 3, where it looks like we’ll discover why we’ve all been gathered together to meet in the first place.
