Amanda the Adventurer 2 Review

Let's go on a new adventure!

Amanda the Adventurer 2

I don’t know what it is about constraint that makes it such a powerful breeding ground for creativity, but it’s just pure magic. Halloween and The Blair Witch Project are considered by most horror fans to be some of the greatest horror movies ever made, and the one thing they have in common is scrappy, no-budget, guerrilla-style filmmaking.

When spectacle isn’t an option, you’ve got to get suspenseful. And like great horror movies made on a low-budget, many indie horror games manage to capture that magic as well. You can take everything from my review of the first game and apply that to Amanda the Adventurer 2. It just works.

I might just be dumb, but I find the puzzles to be more challenging than that of the Silent Hill or Resident Evil franchises, and since puzzles are the main attraction of Amanda the Adventurer games, I appreciate it.

The first game took place in an attic, this one takes place in a library, and the final game will take place in an underground facility (I believe).

Amanda the Adventurer 3 is coming Nov 6, and I’ll be sure to review the final game in the trilogy once it comes to consoles.

Amanda the Adventurer 3

For only $10 or less across Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam, there’s no reason to wait.
