Which Stephen King movie do you think translated the best from book to film?
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know as I’ve only ever seen the film adaptations and never read any of the books, blasphemy right?
I love everything, I mean everything that comes out based on a Stephen King story, but since I never actually read the originals can I call myself a true fan? While I’m sure he consulted on many of the projects to get certain details right, he only ever directed “Maximum Overdrive” himself and the most successful movie ever made based on a Stephen King story, “The Shining” (which I love), King apparently doesn’t even like what Kubrick did with it…
So, it really is quite an interesting question.
The Shining is definitely my favorite, as well as the hit TV mini series is IT…. but theres been so many movies that need to be made but havent as yet!…http://www.WickedHorror.com/top-horror-lists/top-ten-yet-unadapted-stephen-king-stories/
Clive Barker also have some great novels that still need to be made into movies too!
