For one, The Road Warriors started before WCW was a thing. Though they are the ones who created Thundercage, which was originally called Thunderdome. They also had a Road Warriors knock-off team called The Master Blasters.

in addition to them, Memphis had Lord Humungous, WWF had Demolition, there were at least two female wrestlers named Mad Maxine, and a guy who’s worked the indies for 20 years, often under the name Madd Maxx.

And those are just off the top of my head. I’m sure there are more examples out there.
