We need about a dozen excellent vampire films or books to come out and counteract that garbage that has diluted the creature’s fright power. I don’t think it’s possible to do that, though.

The fear of ‘vampires’ has depleted over the years. Sure, it sells in the theater, but the monster with whom they are to be is fading.
