I’m actually shocked they went that route with Bill and Sookie but I guess it makes sense in a crazy True Blood kind of way.

It had a few missteps here and there, but overall the show was entertaining, and that was the whole point. True Blood wasn’t trying to be The Wire or The Sopranos. It was crafted as exploitative entertaining TV, and in that it was a great success.
