Yes, that scene in Conjuring 2 with the demon out of focus in the background was a standout. I hope The Conjuring 3 has a tighter script, because I feel Wan could truly make a classic for the ages with a tighter narrative (though, I’m sure some would argue he already has).

Yeah, I’m still bummed that BW bombed as bad as it did. It’s really puzzling considering all the hype coming out of its Comic Con premiere. I really think people are just done with found footage in general.

The second one being the scene with Ed in the foreground, talking to the blurred girl/old man in the background. That scene was friggin excellently well done and creepy.
As you probably already know from our prior conversations on “that other website” (that I tend to be more of a clown/smartass on), that I was one of the few who liked Blair Witch. I just wanted a taste of the creepiness of the original, and it did that for me, so I was happy. At least 3 times the film gave me straight up “clenching teeth scare face” (just like the emoji), and that RARELY happens. And I as well said “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT”? The last 20 minutes or so really had my palms sweating and my heart racing. And for that it gets a thumbs up from me.
