Can’t say I recognized Sam when I watched the episode, so I was definitely surprised to find that out. Pretty cool that they tied back to Season 4 like that. Love it.

Interesting theory, about that zombie being Andrea, but there’s no way it really was. Different clothes, and Andrea shot herself in the head before turning – so it wouldn’t make sense that she’s become a zombie.

I think it’s safe to say a handful of those more minor characters will be killed off, in the weeks to come. Could definitely stand to lose a few. And I totally agree about Carol. So happy to see her brought back into the group, and being highlighted as a badass main character. In many ways, she’s the most sensible one in the entire group!

I hope we see more of that. Tyrese also really stepped it up, and Rick seems to be back on his game. I would like to see them scale down the main cast a bit, though. There are some unnecessary newer characters floating around that I never expected to still be here. I guess it shows how strong a group they became that they can keep so many people alive, though.

His name was Sam. He was with a girl and Rick and Carol ran across them in a house, same ep where Rick kicked Carol out of the group. That ep is when I first predicted cannibalism. Because the last we see of the girl, she’s being eaten and has a missing leg. But it appears perfectly cut off, not eaten off. Sam is never seen again until last nights premiere. Makes me wonder if he was at one point going to be a bigger character. The actor is currently the Penguin on the Gotham tv series, so maybe they just wrote him off.

Rick and Carol meet Sam and Ana when they go out on a run and Rick tells Carol she’s leaving the group.

Also, that first zombie Carol killed on the train tracks looked oddly familiar. The one with the hand cuffs, half blown off face and hanging jaw – that was Andrea!
