They have no redeeming qualities and the movie felt like it was trying to force me to humanise them and feel bad for them. Not a chance. I don’t understand the people who feel sympathy for them. They’re disgusting and worthless pieces of trash and I was hoping they’d get a less honourable death in the end.

The cop while being a vigilante, was sympathetic. His brother died to those freaks and countless other people have.

They deserved a slow torturous death. Zombie is getting unnecessary praise for this movie. It was honestly mediocre at best, never mind the ending left me feeling unsatisfied. Now I like bad endings where the bad guys win, but the fact that the cop died and didn’t get his revenge irked me.

Gotta say, the dialogue was awful and wooden, the characters were grating, especially the laughing. Mediocre movie, and awful forced sympathy with the Fireflies was just.. Urgh. It was like, going:

“No guys look how close of a family they are! Sympathise with them! Doesn’t matter that they’re barely human and have no sense of empathy and have killed countless innocents! Please guys look how human they are! They have emotions!”
