Perhaps, if enough of the script was already written and if enough of the original crew came out of the woodwork to work on the film and do it justice, there’s a chance for a decent Ghostbusters 3 (instead of it just being a pointless Hollywood cash cow, which is apparently why Murray didn’t want to be involved in the first place, considering his attitude toward giving independent films a chance, seems to make sense), but unlikely.

In a way, for our generation, or at least our generation’s nerds, this is like hearing that one of the Beatles died. Ghostbusters is a deeply ingrained nostalgia. Bill Murray is my most favorite actor of all time by the way.
