I strongly disagree that the series should be left where it is. Absolutely it was a great season finale, but I don’t accept the idea that the show has no more to offer. I want to see what Bryan Fuller had planned for season four, I want to see his adaptation of Silence of the Lambs and I want to see how he really, truly wishes to end his version of this story. Of course, there are a lot of tricks that would have to be turned to get us all of that. Foremost, finding a new home for the series and then getting MGM to give them the rights to use Clarice Starling and Jame Gumb. I’m perfectly fine with leaving the series alone for a little while. Let Amazon’s exclusive streaming contract run out. Let Bryan Fuller get a season of American Gods under his belt. But then I’d love someone to bring this show back for at least two seasons to this incarnation of Hannibal the proper chance to fulfill everything it promises.
