Freakin’ love the House of Wax remake, too. I feel like many who complain re: Paris must not have seen it, because like you said, she isn’t in it all that much, and aside from a subtle nod to her porn tape, she wasn’t playing an over-the-top “Parisy” character at all.

Re: F13 P4 — of course that’s a favorite of mine, too. I remember reading (probably in the awesome Crystal Lake Memories) that they did such a brutal death to “prove” that Jason was REALLY dead — as ending the series was the main focus of the marketing. Even better was the notion that the MPAA let a little more of it slide than usual, because they figured they wouldn’t have to deal with F13 after that anymore. (And we know how that turned out. Maybe that’s why they were so brutal to P5?)
