The trailer simply spoiled too much. Well also it was my wife’s turn to choose so we saw Inside Out instead.
I think for me it’s just a case of too many sequels for a movie I really loved. As you pointed out before, the original was basically a slasher film and I love it for that! T2 is great but at the same time it is just too big, forever changing the terrifying Terminator into a good guy. I always thought it would have been cool if the T1000 from T2 started out as Michael Biehn, making us confused as to is it really Kyle Reese ressurrected through time travel or not. And then they could’ve had Linda Hamilton play the Terminatrix in T3!
