I don’t think they even needed to reveal what it was. I don’t think that was ever important. As demonstrated many times now, mystery is often much more powerful than “the reveal.”

They just needed to, ya know, finish the movie. The whole movie is based on him making it to his fiancé, and they finally meet up, deal with creepy guy, then escape the dust cloud.

There needed to be some other kind of closure, like them driving and talking, or making it to some kind of camp where other survivors were, something.

I seriously don’t think this was the intended ending. It really feels like something went wrong, like maybe even the director isn’t happy with it and would like a director’s cut.

The whole thing…except for the last minute. Lol. I think what they were TRYING to do, was not let you know what it was that caused it. The way they said so many different reasons throughout the movie would lead me to think that, but would also lead me to think they would actualy tell you. First e more minutes could have made the movie fantastic .hell, ONE more minute .All they had to show was a spaceship as they were driving away, or an angel, or a demon, or a freaking kid playing a computer game. Not sure what the deal is but eveyoeveshould Wat it, it’s really good, just prepare yourselves for a horrible last 30 seconds.
