It is that, because there has been little else interesting to keep viewers interested, so they just keep teasing surprises.

I want them to live in this world, not just constantly survive. They’ve been running from one spot to the other, constant;y trying to save or find one person or the other for so long, that the characters don’t have a moment to develop. They’re just zombie fodder. It’s just an exploitation show. It’s nothing we haven;t seen in a million zombie movies.

There were glimmers in the prison, Woodbury and we thought Terminus, where you would see how life, not just fighting, continued. That’s the story I am interested in.
