In reply to Livrule. I love The Church but it's not for everyone. If you like the more nightmare logic style Italian horror (Suspiria, The Beyond) than I would highly recommend it. It's nothing like Demons despite being called Demons 3 in some areas.

In reply to Zachary Paul. Yeah, I need to track down Puppet Master 2 at some point, been told a couple of times it's good. Never seen The Church, but read a few pieces about it and sounds very interesting.

I have a soft spot for “Takes Manhattan” as well, and I highly recommend Puppet Master 2. It’s actually the only one in the series that I genuinely love. And, yeah, 89′ was a stinky year. I would probably add The Church in there somewhere.

Valiant attempt at remembering 1989, Martyn. I rememeber seeing Nightmare 5 and Friday 8 on a drive-in double feature back on a muggy August of ’89. Even at 10 years old I came away thoroughly underwhelmed. Still thought Lisa Wicox was hot.
