“The death of the genre”….that is funny! I am not a proponent of pirating but it is not the plague on cinema that it is made out to be by pompous asses like you, Squires! The reality of it is that many people who pirate movies, music, etc. do end up buying the physical (or non-physical download) product if they like it. If anything, in this case, pirating HELPS to sell product. And then there are those folks who pirate movies who would never have paid for them anyway, so they are not hurting anything since if they would not have paid no matter what, they are not costing the filmmaker, studio or cinema one red cent!

No problem. I only know because the one in November is two days before my birthday. And I also know people that call every F13 “little Halloween” and put out a few decorations and make sure to watch a horror movie or two that day.

Ultimately you’ll purchase it three or four months after it’s initial release, thereby making sure your dollars go unnoticed to Hollywood, as they typically only care about the initial release (read: first 30 days) fanfare. So now not only have you screwed the director, production, cast and crew out of money, but you’re also allowing them all to continue to go unnoticed by Hollywood, ensuring that the same old crap continues to be churned out of the Hollywood Horror Machine

The WORST thing you can do, as a horror fan, is pirate movies. But I know nothing I can say will do anything to change your ways, so be my guest. Keep contributing to the death of the genre, if you must.
