The first one only because that movie made me a fan of horror at a young age and that scene has a special place in my brain the second one is cooler but I will always go original

I remember someone at Fangoria mentioning that Pleasence kept his promise to be in the upcoming Halloween sequels after all because of the voice over and I immediately thought “Did this guy actually listen???” The way the actor says “emotionless” is about the most glaringly obvious part of the newly recorded monologue. I hated that they didn’t utilize Donald’s original monologue – it couldn’t have been THAT costly.

First 2 are definitely the best IMO. Not a title sequence, but, I do kind o like the way Zombie’s opens up with God of Thunder.

In reply to Grahan. Yea if there's any film other than these that had a noteworthy opening credits sequence, it's H20. Though I hated the fact that Pleasence's voice wasn't used.

H20 kind of had an opening title sequence – with the titles rolling over news clippings and police reports detailing the events of previous films. Not the most creative, but suitable, given the nature of that film overall.

Of these ones though, I think my favourite is still the original, thanks to its simplicity and the showcasing of the score. Though I do love the autumn atmosphere of part 4.
