Get your very own SyFy’s (previously Sci Fi) TV Show Scare Tactics just doesn’t go far enough anymore. Now I know that to the viewer the show isn’t suppose to be scary, but fun and funny which it still is. But, they just don’t push the limit with the “victim” like they used to.
What was originally great about the show is that with horror/sci fi type themes they would recreate or invent new situations of peril where the “victim” (setup by a friend) actually believed something superstitious is happening or that they may actually die or need to defend themselves (it sounds really bad typed out like that 
).
Clearly in the television industry with all the big wigs, lawsuits, red tape and bureaucracy it was amazing that the show got the green light in the first place. At first, they really did push it to the limit, but it’s very clear that the show has been toned down based on the few occasions that it went so far that the “victims” attacked the actors.
Apparently, one lawsuit, did take place. I’m not sure what the outcome was, but I’m sure this woman’s bogus “Scare Tactic” ended in a settlement and ruined Scare Tactics for the rest of us. I still like the show, but it’s just too timid to be the treat it used to be.
